Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit with the title, but these past few months have gone in a blip. Last entry was 5 months ago. How could the time have gone so quickly?
My brother came to visit me in Vienna and then we went with the rest of the family to Turkey to visit his girlfriend's family. It was a great time, he's absurdly funny and it was nice to reconnect; we don't get to do it so often in person anymore.
We played our first mini-gig at a party for my roomate who's leaving to south america for a couple of months, it was super fun too.
The internship is going well; you could say I'm learning a lot, I'm doing a lot of things that are way beyond my skill level if I'm being totally honest, but that also means I get to improve my abilities a lot. I want to keep doing online courses though, and I'm trying to squeeze myself into the cybersecurity side of things as much as I can. I'ts consuming more time than I thought it would, and it looks like it might continue past the originally planned 6 months, so I'm already thinking about adapting my university to last a little longer so I will have enough time to dedicate to this. The fruits of my labour will be great though. I'm saving up for a motorcycle and by the time I get my degree I might also have a significant amount of work experience to go with it.
But on top of that I have to keep some time for band practice, being politically active, getting some sort of workout routine started and my personal relationships. It's a lot to balance. I feel a little dreadful about the load coming up in the next few months... I definetly won't have as much time to just mess around with random projects. And that's just the thing; the fuller your weeks get the more it feels like time is flying right past you.
It's a bittersweet feeling really. I'm spending my time in ways that feel meaningful. I'm thankful for the great people that I get to surround myself with, and for the things we get to work on together. But sometimes I also wish I had a bit more extra time to sit in a river or lay in my hammock.
In the end it's a nice problem to have. I bet I'll look back on it with nostalgia.
Anyways,
I've updated the gallery with some fun pics of the last couple of months.
I hope I can find the time to write here a little more often.
